Today I am wearing Atropa Belladonna by Shay & Blue.
A soft creamy concoction with fruity floral notes of
blackcurrant, jasmine and narcissus.
Vanilla and patchouli bring up the rear, the vanilla giving ait a
liberal dose of sweetness.
The blurb tells me “The bewitching Atropa Belladonna,
Italian for 'Beautiful Lady', is also known as deadly nightshade. This rare
plant was ingested by seventeenth century Venetians for its potent cosmetic
effect - its natural toxins dilated the pupils, giving its subject a deadly,
hallucinogenic beauty. Heady. Mesmerising. Beware of overdose.”
That made me hopeful.
Nothing yet though.
But lots of creamy sweetness, that’s constant. Wearable but could be dirtier and with wicked
undertones…..where’s the vetiver, that will help achieve those notes!
