Precious One by Angela Flanders

Precious One is a Fragrance Foundation award winning perfume by Angela Flanders and promises exotic floral top notes over a green base.... sounds very inviting.

Although it's a powerful chypre when it first goes on we imagined it would be more hefty, the top notes of jasmine and tuberose lend a very delicate touch and in no way overpower.  The floral element soon moves over to allow the green heart and base notes through. Vetiver can dominate so easily with it's smokiness winding its way to our olfactory senses over and above everything else, but alongside oakmoss (our aroma of the week) the overall aroma is clean and fresh.   The only down side in our opinion is that having been powerful in the beginning, 2-3 hours later the aroma is very subtle, but we do recognise that there are occasions when subtlety is good.

A good unisex smell - definitely forest like and mossy but....... I keep getting a minty note.  Not toothpaste-minty or sweet-minty but just a slightly cold/fresh smell.   I've decided this is a good thing as we move from the darkness of winter and into the spring sunshine - all around mother nature is emerging from her winter slumber and clean and fresh is exactly what we need.
