Full Incense by Montale

The description of this perfume suggests a fragrance of warm woody notes and as the name suggests incense (obviously!).

Initial thoughts are that it is heavy on the frankincense with a very slight zing at the very beginning quickly moving into warm woody and resinous notes - if you are familiar with Serge Noire by Serge Lutens or La Liturgie des Heures by Jovoy it is very much in this vein.  Deep and warm, balsamic and delicious.  The perfume includes notes of patchouli, cedarwood, elemi resin and oakmoss (our aroma of the week) and not having any traditional top notes this fragrance comes straight at you with those big base notes - fabulous!

Certainly not a light and fresh fragrance.  It lingers on the skin but doesn't change hugely after the first few minutes, however this is absolutely fine with us.  We love it just the way it is.

Many of us in the PF office are fans of deep, dark, smoky fragrances so now having just found another to add to our list of favourites we are happy sniffers indeed.
