Neroli Blanc EdP Intense by Au Pays de la Fleur d’Oranger

This week we have been wearing Neroli Blanc EdP Intense by Au Pays de la Fleur d’Oranger.

Oh dear.  The jury is out on this one.  If you like neroli you will probably love this as the neroli is so strong – but it is neroli with added sugar.  But also if you like neroli I fear you may not enjoy wearing this one after all with it being saturated in sweetness.

And if you don’t like Neroli then this definitely isn’t the perfume choice for you.

Interestingly the male staff and male visitors to Plush Folly all raved about this perfume and would definitely buy this for their female partners (although it is promoted as a unisex scent).  Oh dear, someone needs to take them in hand and explain that perhaps it may not be a popular choice.  It will be a perfume bought, ‘oooh’ed and ahhh’ed over in a grateful fashion and then left on the dressing table (or even in a drawer) unlikely to be worn.

The neroli is blended with mandarin (our perfume of the week) and bergamot so I’d imagine it to be a lot more refreshing than it actually is.  The middle notes are rose and jasmine whilst bringing up the rear are cedarwood, sandalwood, musk and…vanilla, lots of it.

On my skin it is linear and in the three hours I could bear to wear it, it didn’t change.  Neroli and vanilla is all I got.  And eventually neroli and vanilla is what I washed off, it all became too much.
So it’s love or dislike with this one.

Have you tried it?  What did you think?
