Today I am wearing The Architects Club by Arquiste
The blurb tells me “"A group of architects gather for
cocktails at Mayfair's smartest Art Deco smoking room. As they settle in the warm interior of dark
woods, leather and velvet, London's bright young things burst in, frosted
martinis in hand, surrounded by a cloud of laughter, white smoke and fine
vanilla."
Now there’s an interesting idea to capture in a perfume.
If I shut my eyes I don’t get architects at all. I get spicy woods tinged with chocolate and
citrus. It is leaping around on my skin –
one moment it’s chocolate then it is spicy, peppery woods, then sweet deep,
rich vanilla.
The woods are wet, the perfume smells sweet and damp and
comforting.
Interesting and pleasant.
Even without the architects or the frosted martini.
