Today I am wearing
Glamour by Moschino.
An interesting twist of sweetish floral and salt. Initially the salt isn’t apparent but as the
florals warm up, the salt breezes in and out keeping the perfume fresh and
appealing.
Hibiscus, orchid and water lily are the chosen flowers, no
powerful floral surge here just a gentle and subtly aromatic scent, which is underpinned
with mandarin blossom and artemisia.
The sweetness comes from the dollop of amber chucked into
the base note pot. Cedar and musk ensure
that the perfume retains its ‘nice girl’ feeling and further prevents it from
becoming too sweet.
To me it feels as if this perfume is teetering on the edge
of a treacle pot. I expect it to take a
sweet sugary turn at any minute, but it doesn’t. It teases me but it pleases me too as it retains
its gentle salty-sweet freshness rather than diving into the suggested sugar
grotto.
The younger Sal would have happily worn this. In fact this more mature Sal is enjoying it too!
