Blue Agava & Cacao Cologne by Jo Malone
Blue Agava & Cacao Cologne by Jo Malone
Launched in 2006 the marketing of the cologne used the phrase 'The rhythm of Latin Music sexy edgy & persuasive'.
We have been sampling the perfume all week, playing a bit of Latino music in the office as we get in the mood, we have certainly detected an abundance of scents. Elaine says it starts off light fresh then jumps to a more intense chocolate warmer tone.
The scent certainly starts off fresh with citrus, lime, grapefruit, red berry and cardamon our aroma of the week. The red berry does stand out and though the cardamon isn't strong it does round off the top notes .
The centre of the dance as we begin to find our rhythm is the blue agava flower, a relation of the Yucca family. the sea salt moves in with a swirl of orchid, turn of white lily and a twist of geranium. They all work beautifully together as the brass section of the band.
As things start to really heat up with the pulsating beat of the congos the base notes of vetiver, cocoa and musk bring on the intense depth of a deep strong undercurrent. The vanilla and cinnamon add a jibe to curb its tones that linger on to the salsa.
The scent doesn't last as long as we would like but it does have presence.
