Perfume Thursday: J'Adore by Dior

A perfume that makes us feel feminine, happy and uplifted upon first spray is obviously a winner here at Plush Folly which is why we're really excited to share our thoughts about J'Adore, by Dior, with you.

It's a predominantly floral scent with the inclusion of some heavy-hitters in the world of florals. Jasmine, Lily of the Valley, Tuberose and Freesia, for example, have been blended with various fruity notes such as Pear, Peach, Mandarin and Plum to give it a sweet and soft opening.

It has quite a refreshing, sharp opening which lasts not even a couple of minutes before the florals bring the bright and zesty Mandarin top note down.

To wear, as mentioned previously, is a delight. It feels light and airy unitedly making us feel uplifted and happy. We feel like we know we smell great while wearing it, so possibly we feel a bit smug and proud too?

The silage of this perfume is great also, throwing itself well for hours after the initial spray. It's really easy to wear and we'd say suitable for a range of ages. It has the sweetness and prettiness that a younger audience would go for yet holds a sophisticated glamour making it suitable for perfume wearers from age 20 and above.

As it matures on the skin, hints of vanilla and musk come forward ultimately giving the perfume a more calming finish. Despite this new calmer, rounder personality, the perfume is still very apparent on the skin, throwing itself about effortlessly.

The gold, shimmery bottle is a great reflection of the perfume and its radiant beauty.

We absolutely love it. It's glamorous, elegantly feminine and a true classic.
