Bouquet Massai 10.1 by Parfumerie Generale

Today I am wearing Bouquet Massai 10.1 by Parfumerie Generale.

A big floral perfume with – wait, what on earth is this, a big floral perfume with coffee!  Like a barista having a bouquet of flowers on the serving counter, the two aromas haven’t mingled, they remain separate and…gosh, I’m not too sure about it at all.

Sweet juicy florals of peony and magnolia with karo karunde (a sort of jasmine, gardenia union) a slight hint of even juicier fruit then bam, dark rich coffee.  Then flowers, then coffee, then flowers, then coffee…….

As the perfume matures the wood notes of sandalwood and cashmeran soften the coffee element and round the perfume off acceptably with a creamy velvety drydown..  This is now the aroma of the barista, finished for the day, presenting his girlfriend with the bouquet of flowers.

The coffee is long forgotten.
