Today I am wearing Ernest by Deco London.
The blurb tells me “The year is 1924......Highly
accomplished in business and sport with a love for adventure and
travel; Ernest is effortlessly stylish in fashionable flannel trousers,
expensive cotton shirts and nubuk leather shoes that match his confident
personality...“
Ernest is a gentleman’s scent and is available as part of a
range from Deco London. The other men’s
scents are called Lawrence and Quentin whilst the ladies scents are named
Loretta, Millicent and Constance.
So my nose is ready for a posh, quirky, elegant, fashionable,
stylish aroma and it isn’t disappointed.
Bergamot, lemon and orange splash onto my wrist quickly followed by
subtle hints of tarragon with a lavender and geranium freshness. Jasmine is in here too but kept tethered so
that the freshness is more apparent.
Underpinned with leather, vetiver, sandalwood, vanilla and
amber, the perfume flourished nicely as it dries down. Not sweet, but warm, well rounded and with an
air of good manners.
