Perfume Thursday: Mark Buxton - Emotional Rescue

Firstly, welcome to the new home of Perfume Thursday! We're very excited to be moving this weekly feature to our blog so without further a due...

This week's chosen perfume for Perfume Thursday is Emotional Rescue by Mark Buxton.

This cult perfume is ticking all the right boxes for us here at Plush Folly. Above everything it's different which makes us love it even more. The initial burst of Gooseberry and Neroli give it a bitterness which is soon calmed by floral notes including Orris, Rose and Cassis Flower. Its woody base notes (Fir, Sandalwood and Vetiver) place it comfortably in the unisex category.

It has two personalities, almost like a naughty and a nice side; both of which we loved meeting. The potent Gooseberry explosion juxtaposed with the comforting and beautiful Rose and Orris make for a complex and intriguing perfume all in all.

It's well-balanced and designed beautifully. The contrast in its design is unique and we love that it keeps us on our toes.

Mark Buxton has designed perfumes for some of the world's biggest perfume houses including Givenchy, Paco Rabanne and Versace to name but a few. To see his perfumes visit his website here.

We absolutely love this perfume and would love to try others in his collection. Has anyone else tried Emotional Rescue or any other Mark Buxton perfumes? Let us know below!
